Blog - ways to revise WC Essay.

   When I went over my essay, the very first thing I found out is that I did not have a title. Adding an interesting title will help readers understand the main idea of the essay. The next thing that I need to work on is the pronoun. I like use the word "we" a lot. But since this is a personal analysis, I should only talk about myself. So using "I" instead of "we". Then, talks about using the title. Whenever using the words "The Glass Menagerie", I should underline it or italicize it so that readers will notice that. After that, one of the biggest problem occurs. I focus too much on the book "The Glass Menagerie", but not the performance. This WC Essay should talking more about the play of it, rather than the book. Other small detail that I need to work on is the punctuation. I had a mistake previously, which is putting period inside of the parentheses but not outside. I am also lacking topic and ending sentences. In the third draft, I found out that I did not use topic and ending sentences at all. I just starts my words directly in each paragraph. Citation also needs to revise a little bit. The name of the author, Williams, should be italicized. For the literary features, I need to add more. In my third draft, I did not point out many literary devices and sometimes I did not use the literary words. Try to find those sentences out, and alternate them into literary devices. Furthermore, I also need to having more analysis of performance correlates to the literary interpretation. Probably look back to the video and find more details about how I use body movements, loudness of my voice, and facial expressions to illustrate Tom's feelings after he left his family. The other thing that needs to revise is the discussion of the quoted material. As I read my essay, I found out that I did not discuss enough for the quoted materials; sometimes I just left it there and it did not connect to the sentences below. At last, I think I need to write a little bit more. Because right now, I have around 1540 words. This is just passing the word count that they need. Having two to three hundreds more words will be conservative.
